Beijing SEPR is the holding company of SAINT-GOBAIN. Its predecessor was a joint venture between French SIP and Beijing Glass Group in 1990: Beijing Zhongpu Company. SIP is the world's largest manufacturer of fused refractory materials for glass kilns. Beijing Xipu Company is the first Hezi company in China's fused refractory industry.

In 2000, after capital expansion, Zhongpu Company changed its name to Xipu Company. Absolutely controlled by Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, the new factory is located in Changping, close to the Badaling Great Wall, with very convenient transportation.

The company's main products are fused zirconium corundum refractories and fused αβ corundum refractories, with an annual production capacity of 12,000 tons. The factory covers an area of ​​74,000 square meters. The production process adopts the most advanced French chypre process in the world, the processing equipment is excellent, and there is the largest pre-assembly platform in China, which can assemble two float glass furnaces of 500 tons/day at the same time. The global network created by Saint-Gobain SEFPRO meets the needs of the global glass industry for top-quality electrofused and sintered refractories. It involves different types of glass furnaces such as float glass, flat glass, TV glass bulb, flat panel display glass, container and utensil glass, electric light source glass, glass insulation fiber and glass reinforced fiber, crystal glass, ceramic glaze and so on. Beijing Xipu Company is an important part of this sales network.
