Nanjing Chenguang Group Co., Ltd. is affiliated to the Fourth Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation and has an important strategic position in China's aerospace defense field. The predecessor of the company was the Jinling Machinery Manufacturing Bureau founded by Li Hongzhang in 1865 during the Westernization Movement of the Qing Dynasty, which has a history of 150 years.
In 1996, as one of the 100 pilot enterprises of the national modern enterprise system, it was restructured from Nanjing Chenguang Machinery Factory to Nanjing Chenguang Group Co., Ltd.
The company is a national high-tech enterprise, and has been recognized by the first batch of technology centers of national defense science and technology industrial enterprises.
